Off-Peak tickets offer flexible travel at cheaper prices.
Before travelling, check your ticket for any restrictions — some are valid only with specific train operators.
How to check Off-Peak times
Unfortunately, there’s no single rule for all train operators.
Most Off-Peak trains run:
On weekends, or
Weekdays outside commuting hours.
To be sure, check your journey using our app or website.
Using the app
When you search for trains, the app shows whether a service is Off-Peak or Super Off-Peak.
If neither is displayed, the train is Peak time.
Using the website
Visit our Train times page.
Scroll down and click ‘Change’ to enter your journey.
You’ll see a clear view showing which trains are Peak, Off-Peak, or Super Off-Peak.
You can also search directly from our homepage using ‘Get times & tickets’.
The ticket types shown will indicate whether the train time is Off-Peak or Super Off-Peak — click Earlier or Later to find your best option.
