There are a few reasons why a PayPal payment might not go through:
1. Nothing happens after clicking “Continue with PayPal”
If the window doesn’t open or you only see a blank page, a pop-up blocker on your device may be stopping PayPal from opening its payment window. Try temporarily disabling your pop-up blocker and then attempt the payment again.
2. Your PayPal account isn’t verified
For security reasons, we can only accept payments from verified PayPal accounts. If yours is not verified, you can start the verification process in PayPal. Please note that it may take several working days. If you need to complete your booking sooner, we recommend paying with a credit or debit card instead.
3. You can’t log in to your PayPal account
If you're unable to sign in to PayPal, we’re unfortunately unable to resolve this issue on our side. Please contact PayPal directly so they can assist you.
4. The payment freezes or fails to process
If the transaction seems stuck, try submitting the payment again. Before doing so, make sure you haven’t already been charged. Check your email for your tickets, look in your Trainline account (if you have one), and review your PayPal activity to confirm whether the payment went through.
If you still need help, you’re always welcome to contact us — we’re here to assist you.
