🧾 What is an Interrail Pass?
The Interrail Pass is a single train ticket that lets you travel freely across 33 European countries on participating train networks for a set number of travel days.
It’s available only for European citizens or permanent residents.
If you’re not a European resident, you’ll need a Eurail Pass instead.
🎟️ Types of Interrail Pass

Interrail Global Pass: travel unlimited by train and ferry across 33 European countries, including Italy, France, Germany, and Switzerland.
Continuous Pass: travel every day for 15 days, 22 days, 1 month, 2 months, or 3 months.
Flexi Pass: travel on a set number of days within a period (e.g. 7 travel days within 1 month).
Interrail One Country Pass: travel within a single European country.

🔓 How to use your pass
Download the Interrail Rail Planner App.
Activate your pass in the app within 11 months of the issue date.
Plan your trip and reserve seats if needed.
Each travel day generates a barcode ticket in the app, which train staff will scan. You may also be asked to show your passport or ID.
💶 Refunds
To request a refund, please contact us and make sure to comply with the conditions specified below:
Your pass has not been activated, and
You submit your request within six months from the last possible activation date.
Refunds must be processed via the Interrail App for mobile passes.
✏️ Need to make changes?
Passengers details:
If you need to amend your passenger details and your Pass has not been activated, you will need to contact us and provide the correct information.
Please note: Only the country of residence can be changed after the Pass has been activated, by contacting us.- Incorrect pass type:If you purchased the wrong Interrail Pass, you will need to contact us to check if you are eligible to refund.
🚦 Delays or disruptions
If your travel plans has been impacted by disruptions, please contact us so we can find you the best solution depending on the disruption and whether your pass has been used.
Train delayed: You might be entitled to delay repay compensation. Please complete the webform here and Interrail will be in touch with you directly to resolve.
