You booked a Deutsche Bahn journey for several passengers but received only one PDF ticket?
This is completely normal. Deutsche Bahn always issues a single ticket for bookings that include more than one passenger.
The number of passengers covered by the ticket is shown at the top of the ticket.
For example, for 2 passengers it will display: “Erw: 2” or “2 Erwachsene”.
Only the lead passenger’s name appears on the ticket. However, all passengers must present valid ID during ticket inspection.
The lead passenger’s name cannot be changed after purchase, and the ticket cannot be transferred to another person.
If the lead passenger does not travel, the ticket will no longer be valid. The other passengers will need to request a refund (if permitted by the ticket conditions) and book new tickets.
