Once you’ve completed your booking, your Mobile Ticket will appear almost immediately in the My Tickets section of the Trainline app.
📥 Downloading your Mobile Ticket
Tap Download ticket to view your ticket, including the barcode that will be scanned at the station.
👉 Important:
A Mobile Ticket can only be downloaded to one device at a time, so make sure you download it on the phone you plan to travel with.
🔓 Activating your Mobile Ticket
You must activate your ticket before travelling.
Only activate it on the day of travel, once you’re sure you will be travelling
Activation is final — once activated, a ticket cannot be changed, refunded, or moved
Don’t activate your ticket before 04:30 on the day of travel (unless your train leaves earlier)
To activate your ticket:
Open your ticket in the Trainline app
Tap the Activate button
Your ticket will be ready for inspection.
🔄 Moving your ticket to another device
If you downloaded your ticket to the wrong phone, you can move it:
Install and open the Trainline app on the new device
Log in to your Trainline account
Download the ticket again — it will automatically transfer
